Thousand Stars Desert Camp is a small, exclusive retreat located deep inside the golden dunes of Wahiba Sands, near Bidiyah in Oman. Designed for travelers seeking peace, privacy, and an authentic desert experience, the camp combines traditional Omani style with modern comfort.

The camp features only a few luxurious tents, each with private bathrooms and natural desert showers. A central sitting and dining tent (majlis) provides a relaxing communal space for meals and gatherings. With a maximum capacity of around nine guests, it offers an intimate and personalized stay — ideal for couples, families, or small groups.

Guests can enjoy stunning views of sunrise and sunset over the dunes, followed by unforgettable stargazing at night thanks to the area’s low light pollution. Dinner and breakfast are included, featuring local flavors prepared fresh in the desert. The focus is on simplicity, tranquility, and a genuine connection to nature.

The camp is accessible only by 4x4 vehicle, as the final stretch of the journey crosses soft desert sand. Guests without suitable vehicles can request a pickup or escort service from Bidiyah. Mobile and internet service are limited or unavailable at the camp, allowing visitors to fully disconnect from the outside world.

During the cooler months (November to February), temperatures are comfortable, ranging from 25–30°C during the day and 8–15°C at night. Guests are advised to bring warm clothing for evenings, sun protection for daytime, and comfortable shoes for walking on the sand.
